Coinbase to Relaunch Crypto Trading Services in India
Coinbase is set to re-enter the Indian market after securing a crucial regulatory approval. This move aligns with former President Donald Trump’s strong support for digital assets.
On Tuesday, Coinbase announced it had received approval to register with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), which oversees anti-money laundering efforts in the country.
Beyond business prospects, Coinbase aims to establish a presence in one of the fastest-growing digital finance markets worldwide.
The company plans to relaunch limited operations, offering retail trading services upon receiving final registration from the regulatory body, anticipated by the end of the year. These services will gradually expand to include other crypto products.
