Pakistan’s finance ministry has revealed plans to consider forming a National Crypto Council, representing a shift in the ministry’s approach to digital assets. This decision follows a meeting with digital asset advisers linked to former US President Donald Trump.

According to local reports, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb recently met with a foreign delegation that included Gentry Beach Jr., a business associate who has pledged $1 billion in investments to Pakistan.

The delegation also featured tech entrepreneur Nikita Goldsmith, blockchain consultant Alex Malkov, and Cosmic Wire CEO Jerad Finck.

The delegation, whose visit wasn’t officially announced by the US Embassy, engaged in discussions about the global rise of cryptocurrencies and relevant regulatory frameworks.
