Franklin Templeton is seeking approval from the US Security Exchange Commission (SEC) to introduce a new crypto index exchange-traded fund (ETF).

The filing states that the fund will initially only include Bitcoin and Ethereum as its assets. However, the company has acknowledged the possibility of expanding its ETF’s asset pool in the future, pending SEC approval.

This flexibility will allow Franklin Templeton to adapt to any regulatory changes and offer a wider range of options.

At the time of filing, the index consists of 86.31% BTC and 13.69% ETH, and will be reviewed and adjusted every quarter in March, June, and December.
