Bitget has announced that it has been granted the Bitcoin Service Provider (BSP) license by the Central Reserve Bank of El Salvador.

This license from Banco Central de Reserva enables Bitget to offer various Bitcoin-related services, such as exchanging Bitcoin for fiat currency, facilitating payments with Bitcoin, and securely storing Bitcoin assets.

The BSP license is a significant regulatory approval in El Salvador, as it allows companies to operate within the country.

This move positions Bitget as a key player in supporting the country’s strategy for adopting Bitcoin. In addition to its Bitcoin-focused services, Bitget is also working on expanding its offerings.

The exchange is currently in the process of obtaining the Digital Assets Service Provider (DASP) license from the National Commission of Digital Assets in El Salvador. This license will allow Bitget to handle a wider range of digital assets, including altcoins and tokenized assets.
