Skyscanner Teams Up with Travala to Allow Bookings Through Crypto
Travala platform, which operates on blockchain technology, has announced a partnership with Skyscanner, a leading global travel marketplace.
With this integration, travelers can now choose from over 2.2 million hotel options in 230 countries on Skyscanner, and book using over 100 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ether, BNB, and the platform’s native token, AVA.
This move makes Travala the first crypto-native platform to be listed on Skyscanner, putting it on par with popular travel agencies like Expedia, Booking.com, and Agoda, which have a combined user base of over 110 million users and handle approximately 80 billion searches each month.
According to Skyscanner’s Head of Hotels Sanja Vukik in a statement, this partnership reflects their commitment to offering diverse and innovative solutions that cater to the changing needs of travelers.
