Tether Expands USDT to Aptos Network
Tether has announced the expansion of its USDT stablecoin to the Aptos blockchain. This move adds to USDT’s existing presence on networks like Ethereum, Tron, Avalanche, Celo, and Solana.
While the majority of Tether’s $116 billion supply is currently on Tron and Ethereum, the company aims to broaden USDT’s reach.
By integrating USDT on Aptos, Tether seeks to capitalize on the blockchain’s low transaction fees, which it claims will cost only a fraction of a penny. This cost reduction is expected to benefit both small-scale and large-scale transactions.
Tether’s decision to choose Aptos was influenced by the blockchain’s strong developer community and thriving ecosystem.
