Kraken Receives Mt. Gox Reimbursement Funds

Recent reports have revealed that Kraken users have received an email from the exchange notifying them that the reimbursement funds from Mt. Gox have been transferred to Kraken’s control and will be distributed within the next seven to 14 days.

Additionally, analytics platform Arkham Intelligence has flagged a significant transfer of 48,641 Bitcoin, worth $3.1 billion, from a Mt. Gox trustee wallet on July 16. This transaction is believed to be linked to a Kraken-associated wallet.

Recently, the Mt. Gox trustee has been moving funds from cold wallets to hot wallets under its control. Data from Arkham Intelligence shows that Mt. Gox currently holds 138,985 BTC, worth around $8.93 billion.
