Base’s Monthly Active Addresses Exceed Arbitrum’s
According to data from growthepie, the Base network, supported by Coinbase, is now the top Ethereum layer-2 network in terms of active addresses, surpassing Arbitrum.
In the first nine days of April, Base saw over 1.48 million new active addresses, just slightly more than Arbitrum One’s 1.43 million.
Other top layer-2 networks include zkSync Era and the Optimism mainnet.
While Arbitrum One still has a slight lead over Base in active addresses over the last 30 days, Base recently surpassed $4 billion in total value locked on the protocol and has the largest 30-day transaction count of 53.1 million.
On the other hand, Starknet and Mantle have seen declines in active addresses, with 51% and 40%, respectively, over the last 30 days. Overall, Base is showing promising growth in the layer-2 network space.
