FTX’s Lawyers Bill $30M in February
FTX’s lawyers and financial advisers have requested bills totaling over $30 million for the month of February.
Sullivan & Cromwell’s bill was the largest, at $13.5 million for 12,127 hours of work, plus an additional $82,000 in expenses.
There were five other companies that submitted bills for their work, including Landis Rath & Cobb, AlixPartners, Perella Weinberg Partners, Alvarez & Marsal North America, and Owl Hill Advisory.
Sullivan & Cromwell’s legal team did research on behalf of FTX concerning rights in the bankruptcy case, collected corporate records, and participated in Voyager Digital and Celsius Network cases.
Partners at the firm charged up to $2,165 per hour, whereas counsel and paralegals charged lower rates. Brian Gluckstein, a partner at the firm, requested $526,000 for his work in February.
