Terraform Labs Former CEO Do Kwon Will Stand Trial in Montenegro

Mark Kovacs, the Minister of Justice in Montenegro, has announced during a press conference that Do Kwon, the co-founder and CEO of Terraform Labs (TFL), will be convicted in the country before any extradition process.

On March 23, Do Kwon was stopped by local police while attempting to board a flight from Podgorica airport to Dubai with false documents.

The United States and South Korea have both requested his extradition, however Kovacs has declared that local criminal cases have precedence over these requests.

Both countries have also asked for the devices Do Kwon had with him at the time of his arrest. This follows reports from December 2022 that he was in Serbia, according to the Seoul Prosecutor’s Office.
