Crypto Exchange Bitzlato is Accused of Legalizing Criminal Proceeds
The US Department of the Treasury and the US Department of Justice have accused Russian crypto exchange Bitzlato of legalizing criminal proceeds totaling up to $700 million.
According to Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, the founder of the exchange provided money laundering services to criminal communities and individuals associated with Russia.
Employees of the FBI took part in the detention of Anatoly Legkodymov. The preparations for the operation to detain this Russian citizen were also carried out with the participation of representatives of the French leadership.
