NFT Marketpace SuperRare Fires 30% of its Workforce Due to Crypto Winter
A large number of crypto-centered companies have faced financial problems amid the dominance of the bearish trend in the crypto sphere.
Just as an example, Huobi reported last week it was laying off up to 20% of its employees.
The NFT industry has also found itself in a state of crisis due to a sharp decrease in the activity of users of platforms for transactions with tokenized collections. John Crane, CEO of NFT marketplace SuperRare, has confirmed that his team has shrunk by about 30%.
He has also recalled that most platforms for transactions with NFT tokens, as well as Web3 game studios, are optimizing costs.
According to him, in 2021, during the rapid growth of the NFT market, SuperRare increased its staff along with other companies. However, the situation has changed drastically, which has resulted in companies cutting their workforce.
