Changpeng Zhao Warns About Phishing Sites Promotion on Google

Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has noticed that Google search results promote phishing sites targeting cryptocurrency users.

He has recently posted a screenshot showing fraudulent sites with the tag “Advertising” at the top of search results for “coinmarketcap”. He has written:

“This affects users who add smart contract addresses to MetaMask through such phishing sites. We are trying to contact Google about this, but in the meantime we are warning users through social media channels.”

One of the scammer resources has a URL similar to the original, and the data of the second has nothing consonant with CoinMarketCap.
