zkSync Devs Intend to Release L3 Testnet Solution Pathfinder in 2023

Matter Labs will launch a public Layer 3 (L3) Pathfinder testnet on top of Ethereum in Q1 2023.

According to the project developers, before the end of October, the launch of the zkSync 2.0 L2 scaling solution, which was announced in July, will take place. The EVM-compatible network is built on a zero-knowledge proof protocol and uses ZK-Rollups technology.

The team has also noted that technology-based solutions were described by Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin as central to blockchain scalability.

According to the statement, Pathfinder will provide an order of magnitude faster transaction processing speed, security and reduce costs exponentially.
