Google Launches a Countdown to The Merge Launch on ETH

Google has recently launched a doodle with a countdown timer to the activation of The Merge on the Ethereum mainnet.

Based on the current difficulty and hashrate, when searching for the words “Ethereum Merge” or “The Merge” Google displays the estimated time until the blockchain moves to the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm.

We should not that the doodle also contains an easter egg in which a timer accompanies a drawing of a black and white bear, which are gradually approaching each other. When The Merge is finally activated, they will unite into a panda.

Google Cloud dev Sam Padilla was the first to talk about the new feature. He has said that Google employees created the timer within two weeks.
