Invesco to Launch Fund to Invest in Metaverse
Invesco, one of the largest US-based investment companies, has recently announced the launch of a fund for investments in companies focused on virtual worlds, Investment Week reports.
The size of the Invesco Metaverse Fund has not been disclosed.
A manager of the fund has said:
“It is estimated that by 2030 virtual and augmented reality can provide growth of the global economy by 1.4 trillion pounds.”
In November last year, Invesco announced the addition of Xetra from the Deutsche Börse structure to the physically backed Bitcoin ETP listing.
The company has previously refused to launch an exchange-traded fund based on Bitcoin futures on the eve of the start of trading of a similar product from ProShares.
