WonderFi Purchases Crypto Exchange Coinberry

DeFi platform WonderFi Technologies has acquired Canada-based crypto exchange Coinberry.

WonderFi CEO Ben Samaroo has said on the acquisition:

“This acquisition further solidifies WonderFi as a leading cryptocurrency company in Canada and creates an excellent foundation for our expansion into global markets.”

The deal was valued at $30 million.

The company announced the takeover a week after it announced its listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The DeFi platform has previously reduced its staff by 20%.
