Eminem Buys NFT From Bored Ape Yacht Club for $450,000

US rapper Eminem has acquired the Bored Ape Yacht Club #9055 non-fungible token (NFT) for 123.45 ETH (more than $450,000 at the current exchange rate).

Eminem has also updated his Twitter profile picture with the purchased image.

The purchased was made through an account with the nickname Shady_Holdings on the NFT marketplace OpenSea. Over 40 tokens from different collections are stored on this particular wallet.

The former owner of the NFT, GeeGazza, has said:

“I’m living in a simulation. Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club! Madness. Let me write a lyric in your next single.”

The owner of popular Miami nightclub and condominium complex E11EVEN Hotel and Residences – E11EVEN Partners – has previously acquired an NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection for 99 ETH (about $396,000 when the transaction took place).
