The Sandbox Token Adds 9% After PwC Hong Kong Purchases a Piece of Land
Animoca Brands, an operator of NFT games, has said that consulting company PwC Hong Kong has bought a piece of virtual land on The Sandbox platform. After the news broke, the SAND project token has jumped by almost 9% within an hour.
At the moment, SAND is trading near $6.27.
Is is worth mentioning that Animoca Brands has not unveiled exactly which plot of land the company has acquired or how much it has paid for it.
DappRadar believes that about 4,500 users have used The Sandbox over the past 30 days. According to OpenSea, over the past three months, the average price of a plot of land on the platform was around 2.45 ETH.
PwC Hong Kong partner William Gee said on the purchase:
“The metaverse offers organizations opportunities to create value through innovative business models and new ways to interact with customers and the community. We will use our experience to advise clients wishing to dive into the metaverse on a full range of potential issues.”
PwC Hong Kong is part of the international network of PricewaterhouseCoopers International Limited, which has offices in 156 countries. According to the press release shared by the company, the acquisition was made on behalf of a specific organization, not a parent structure.
