Bluzelle’s New R2 File Storage Solution Aims to Help Decentralize NFT Marketplaces

Bluzelle, a decentralized storage network for the creator economy, has just announced that it is launching its anticipated file storage solution on its mainnet. As a result, users will be able to access a simple to use and resilient solution for saving immutable files on decentralized storage.

According to the company, the solution has been specially made with NFT platforms in mind due to the fact that the boom of digital art and media have highlighted the need for a flexible storage solution.

The launch of the solution marks the transition of the project from a raw data storage provider to becoming a hosting platform for all types of files. Thank to this newly-launched solution, Bluzelle has become an ideal platform to store content connected with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

Existing storage platforms had multiple drawbacks compared to Bluzelle’s solution. For example, unnecessary requirements of holding a token, the requirement to pay separately for each new storage node in the network and slow and expensive file retrieval.

While other storage solutions could not guarantee continued file immutability, Bluzelle actually guarantees it because data is stored nearly simultaneously in all network nodes — requiring just about 10 seconds to be replicated in all global nodes — and with just one request from the user.

It is worth mentioning that the Bluzelle platform is already being used by major NFT marketplaces, including Mintable.
