Bitcoin Presented for the Birth of a Child 4 Years Later Brings a Profit of 6,600%

The cost of the Bitcoin given to a girl by her father has grown 67 times over four years – from $915.8 to $62,000, Cointelegraph has reported.

The founder of Brazilian crypto exchange Foxbit, Joao Canada, acquired 1 BTC for his daughter on the day of her birth. He said:

“I bought Bitcoin for her, not just as a gift, but as a way to invest in the new economy. At that time, it was estimated at 5,000 Brazilian reais.”

Four years later, the price of the first cryptocurrency has grown more than 67 times – up to the current $62,000.

As a reminder, in September, 12-year-old Londoner Benjamin Ahmed created 3,350 CryptoPunks-style NFTs and sold them in nine hours with a profit of about $350,000.
