Pakistan to Legalize Cryptocurrencies
Pakistan is considering legalizing cryptocurrency to draw international investments. According to Bloomberg, the country plans to establish a legal framework for crypto trading.
Bilal Bin Saqib, CEO of the Pakistan Crypto Council, stated on Bloomberg TV, “The goal is to develop a clear regulatory framework to enhance the local digital-asset ecosystem.”
He emphasized that Pakistan isn’t standing idly by, adding, “We aim to attract global investment as Pakistan is a low-cost, high-growth market, with 60% of the population under 30. Our local workforce is ready to build in the Web3 space.”
Saqib also noted that “Trump is making cryptocurrency a national priority, and countries like Pakistan will need to follow suit.”
