Minnesota Senator Puts Forward a Bitcoin Act
Minnesota state Senator Jeremy Miller has introduced the Minnesota Bitcoin Act after revising his stance on Bitcoin.
“As I researched cryptocurrency and listened to constituents, I’ve shifted from skepticism to understanding and believing in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies,” Miller stated on March 18.
The bill seeks to “promote prosperity” for Minnesotans by permitting the Minnesota State Board of Investment to allocate state assets to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, similar to traditional investments.
According to Bitcoin Laws, 23 other US states have also proposed legislation to establish a Bitcoin reserve.
