Kraken Wins MiFID License

Kraken has announced it has recently acquired a Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) license in the EU.

This significant milestone was made possible through the acquisition of a Cypriot Investment Firm, which has been approved by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC).

Obtaining this license is a major step forward in its expansion strategy, allowing the company to offer fully compliant and regulated derivatives products to advanced crypto traders in specific EU markets.

The procurement of this license solidifies Kraken’s dedication to meeting the growing demand for secure and regulated crypto derivatives trading in the EU.

The firm is now working towards meeting the necessary requirements to launch our products in local EU markets within the coming months.
