Goldman Sachs CEO: Bitcoin Does Not Threaten US Dollar
According to Goldman Sachs’ CEO David Solomon, while Bitcoin has recently reached new all-time-high prices since the election, it still poses no threat to the US dollar.
During an interview with CNBC, Solomon explained that he sees Bitcoin as a speculative asset and not in competition with the US dollar, which is a major point of debate among both supporters and critics of the digital asset.
Despite some concerns about its potential to undermine the strength of the US dollar, others believe that Bitcoin’s volatility and design makes it impractical as a currency, thus making it unlikely to truly compete with the US dollar.
