Uniswap to Launch 4th Version of its Protocol Soon

After initially aiming for a Q3 2024 launch, the decentralized exchange Uniswap has revealed that its latest iteration, Uniswap v4, will be released “soon.”

The teaser, shared by Uniswap Labs on January 2nd, included a unicode image with the caption “v4 is coming soon” featuring the date 2025. There is no specific release date mentioned at this time.

In a post on December 31st, Uniswap Labs shared their plans for 2025, including the launch of v4, Unichain, and other surprises. This caused excitement among the community, with the team saying it will be a “very pink year.”

The protocol founder, Hayden Adams, had previously shared his vision for v4 back in June 2023, while releasing the draft code. He also emphasized the importance of open feedback and community contribution during the development process, which was expected to take several months.
