Number of Ethereum Hodlers Rose in 2024
The number of long-term Ether holders, those who have held an asset for more than a year, has steadily increased throughout the year 2024, while the number of Bitcoin holders has gradually decreased. This trend highlights a rising level of confidence in ETH as the new year approaches.
On December 30, the platform shared that the percentage of long-term Ether holders had climbed from 59% in January to 75% by the end of 2024, based on their data.
Meanwhile, the proportion of long-term Bitcoin holders saw a continual decline, dropping from approximately 70% to 62% in the same period.
As of the end of the year, the proportion of long-term Bitcoin holders is at 62.3% while the proportion of long-term Ethereum holders is at 75.1%.
