OpenSea to Hold Airdrop Following Cayman Islands Registration

Following its registration in the Cayman Islands, OpenSea has sparked speculation among the community about a potential token launch and user airdrop.

The news was shared on Dec. 14 by the Azuki NFT collection researcher Waleswoosh, who posted a screenshot of OpenSea’s registration.

The possibility of a cryptocurrency launch and token airdrop has been a topic of discussion among NFT enthusiasts since OpenSea’s co-founder and CEO Devin Finzer announced the marketplace’s plans for a comeback in November.

While some believe an airdrop may be part of the launch, others, such as DappRadar’s communications manager “nederob,” have expressed doubts due to OpenSea’s operations being based in the United States.
