OKX Expands Services to Belgium
Cryptocurrency exchange OKX has recently expanded its operations in Europe by introducing a new trading platform and self-custodial wallet in Belgium. The features, OKX Exchange and OKX Wallet, are now available for Belgian customers as of November 26th.
With this launch, customers in Belgium will have access to spot trading and the ability to convert over 200 cryptocurrencies, including 60 trading pairs with the euro.
Although the launch of OKX’s services in Belgium does not require direct regulatory approval from Belgian authorities, Erald Ghoos, the general manager of Europe for OKX, stated that they have received a non-rejection for their activity in the country.
Ghoos also clarified that the services are offered through Okcoin Europe, a company registered in Malta and licensed by the Malta Financial Services Authority to provide Virtual Financial Assets services. OKX does not have a physical presence in Belgium, but operates through a regulated entity within the EU.
