Taiwan’s FSC Plans to Implement a Crypto Exchange Registration System
Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) will establish a registration system for cryptocurrency exchanges before the end of November, according to a report by local news outlet Anue Juheng.
This decision is part of the FSC’s broader efforts to strengthen supervision and ensure compliance in the cryptocurrency market.
During a recent meeting with the Legislative Yuan’s Finance Committee, FSC chairman Peng Chin-long announced that 26 exchanges have already obtained compliance declarations under anti-money laundering (AML) laws and that 20 to 30 more applications are currently being reviewed.
The FSC also plans to increase inspections of crypto exchanges, with six companies scheduled for examinations in the near future.
