Donald Trump to Launch its Crypto Initiative World Liberty Financial

On Thursday afternoon, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed the official launch date of his much-anticipated crypto project, World Liberty Financial.

In a video posted from his official X account, Trump announced that the project will go live on September 16 at 8 p.m. through a Twitter Spaces event.

Embracing the future of cryptocurrency, Trump stated that his project will leave behind traditional big banks that are slow and outdated.

The launch was previously teased by Trump‘s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump on August 7, while a recent CoinDesk article revealed that the project will be built on Aave and Ethereum’s decentralized finance platform, focusing on a “credit account system.”

This move towards the crypto community is a significant shift for Trump, who previously had a negative stance towards crypto.
