Metaplanet Acquires $2M in Bitcoin

Japanese investment firm Metaplanet Inc. has announced it has acquired an additional 38.464 Bitcoin, totaling around 300 million yen ($2 million) in value.

The company expressed continued confidence in the world’s largest cryptocurrency. With this latest purchase, Metaplanet‘s Bitcoin holdings now amount to 398.832 Bitcoin, with a total value of approximately 3.75 billion yen ($26 million).

At the time of writing, bitcoin has seen a 3.12% increase over the past 24 hours and is trading at $56,732, after dropping to a low of about $52,700 earlier this week.

Additionally, Metaplanet’s stock saw a 4.42% increase on Tuesday in Japan, reaching a high of about 2,000 yen before settling at 1,086 yen in the afternoon session.
