The hacker who stole more than $235 million from the Indian crypto exchange WazirX has just moved $6.5 million worth of funds through the crypto mixer Tornado Cash.

On September 3, blockchain security platform Cyvers reported that the hacker transferred 2,600 Ether, equivalent to $6.5 million, to Tornado Cash in an attempt to hide the origin of the stolen funds.

At the beginning of September 2, the wallet address held a total of $6.7 million, but after the hacker moved 26 different transfers of 100 ETH to Tornado Cash within an hour, the remaining balance is now only $154,000, according to data from crypto tracking platform DeBank.

This development coincides with WazirX‘s announcement that users are now able to withdraw up to 66% of their Indian Rupee (INR) token balances from the exchange, almost a week before the designated withdrawal window.
