Market Update August 26
The past 24 hours have been filled with various price movements and fluctuations. While the overall market cap has slightly decreased, some coins have seen gains while others have experienced losses.
Bitcoin, the largest and most well-known cryptocurrency, has seen a slight decrease of -0.35% over the past day. This brings its current price to $63,783.24. Despite this decrease, Bitcoin’s dominance in the market remains strong at 56.2%. This means that more than half of the total cryptocurrency market is made up of Bitcoin.
Ether, the native currency of the Ethereum network, has also seen a small decrease of -0.58%. Its current price is $2,739.01. Despite this decrease, Ethereum continues to be the second-largest cryptocurrency with a market dominance of 14.7%.
While Bitcoin and Ethereum have seen decreases in their prices, the overall market cap for cryptocurrencies has also slightly decreased by -0.15%. This brings the total market cap to $2.24 trillion.
The 24-hour trading volume for cryptocurrencies has also decreased significantly by -15.45%. This means that there has been less activity and trading in the market over the past day.
