Malaysian authorities have destroyed 985 Bitcoin mining machines worth approximately 1.98 million Malaysian ringgits ($452,500).

This action is part of the country’s ongoing crackdown on power theft linked to Bitcoin mining activities.

The Perak Tengah district police crushed the machines with a steamroller on Monday after receiving a court order. These machines were seized during enforcement operations conducted from 2022 to April.

This latest warning and enforcement action are part of a broader crackdown on power theft issues associated with Bitcoin miners.

Last week, Sepang district police arrested seven individuals for allegedly engaging in Bitcoin mining operations involving electricity theft.
