Thailand Rolls Out a Regulatory Sandbox for Crypto Projects
Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is initiating a new initiative to test the implementation of cryptocurrency services through a dedicated regulatory sandbox.
The Digital Asset Regulatory Sandbox was introduced on August 9 with the goal of facilitating experimentation and development of novel digital asset services.
Interested parties are encouraged to participate in the sandbox, which will operate under a flexible regulatory framework, to promote innovative growth in the capital market.
The launch of the sandbox marks a significant step in Thailand’s efforts to embrace digital assets, following the SEC board’s resolution to establish it in March 2024.
