Valour, the issuer of a crypto fund, has entered into a memorandum of understanding with the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and SovFi, a financial instrument issuance platform, to enable the issuance and trading of digital asset exchange-traded products (ETPs) on the NSE in Kenya.

These ETPs, such as Bitcoin, Ether, Solana and Hedera, offered by Valour and its affiliated companies, could become the first digital asset offerings on the NSE.

According to the announcement, the ETPs will be “passported” to the NSE, meaning they will be registered in one member state (in this case, the NSE) and recognized throughout the European Economic Area.

In order to provide investors with secure and regulated exposure to the dynamic world of digital assets, Olivier Roussy Newton, the CEO of Valour’s parent company DeFi Technologies, stated that they plan to leverage their expertise in issuing innovative ETPs and facilitating the passporting of financial instruments to the NSE.
