The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) has confirmed that five Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) will be available for trading on July 23, pending regulatory approval.

This announcement comes after the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved rule changes on May 23, allowing for the listing of spot Ether ETFs.

However, the official launch of these ETFs is contingent on the final approval of each fund issuer’s S-1 registration statements by the SEC.

The five spot Ether ETFs that will begin trading are 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF, Fidelity Ethereum Fund, Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF, VanEck Ethereum ETF, and Franklin Ethereum ETF.

To gain a competitive edge in the market, most of these issuers have announced plans to temporarily waive or discount fees.
