SEC: Ethereum ETFs to Begin Trading on July 23
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has informed potential issuers of a spot Ethereum (ETH) exchange-traded fund (ETF) that they can begin trading next Tuesday, as confirmed by two sources who are familiar with the situation.
The SEC told one issuer that they had no further comments on the recently submitted S-1s and that the final versions needed to be submitted by Wednesday.
As a result, the ETFs could potentially be listed on exchanges on Tuesday, July 23. Bloomberg Intelligence senior ETF analyst Eric Balchunas first reported on this development via social media.
The issuers have already submitted amended S-1 documents with some details still to be disclosed, such as the management fee being charged to investors.
Only a few issuers, including VanEck and Invesco Galaxy, have revealed their fees thus far.
