Reuters has reported that the Securities and Exchange Commission may approve spot Ethereum ETF applications by July 4.

The news agency’s report, published on Wednesday, indicated that talks between asset managers and regulators are in their final stages, and industry executives and other sources have confirmed the timeline.

On Tuesday, SEC acting chair Gary Gensler commented that the process for launching spot Ethereum ETFs was going smoothly.

The same day, VanEck filed a Form 8-A for its Ethereum ETF, suggesting that the instrument may soon be available for trading on an exchange. This proposed launch date is in line with the predictions of Bloomberg’s Senior ETF analyst, Eric Balchunas.
