Jump Crypto’s President Steps Down
Kanav Kariya, the current president of venture firm Jump Crypto, has decided to step down from his position after three years. He announced his departure on social media platform X, stating that his last day at Jump was June 24.
In a statement, Kariya shared that he plans to remain involved with the portfolio companies he has worked closely with and will also take some time to reflect on the tumultuous past few years. He also mentioned using this opportunity to reconnect with relationships and pursue his interests in reading.
If all else fails, Kariya intends to wait for inspiration to come before diving into his next venture. According to his LinkedIn profile, Kariya previously held the positions of Director of Strategic Initiatives for Digital Assets and quantitative researcher at Jump before assuming the role of president in 2021.
Just last week, reports emerged that the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission has launched an investigation into Jump.
