3iQ is seeking approval to launch the first Solana exchange-traded product (ETP) in Canada.

The proposed ETP, named Solana Fund, aims to provide Canadian investors with exposure to the SOL cryptocurrency without the need for hot wallets or other blockchain-related technology.

If approved, the fund will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker QSOL.

3iQ’s executive vice president of product and head of trading, Greg Benhaim, expressed excitement at the opportunity to continue their mission of offering regulated investment options for individuals and institutions to access the crypto asset class.

The release date for the Solana Fund, pending approval, is currently unknown.
