Crypto.com Obtains a Crypto License in Ireland
Ireland has granted approval to Crypto.com to register as a virtual asset service provider, permitting the cryptocurrency exchange to conduct operations in the country.
As of June 7, the company, under the name Foris DAX, has been listed on the register according to the Central Bank of Ireland’s website. With this development, Crypto.com will now be able to offer crypto-to-fiat exchanges and fiat wallets, as stated in their official statement.
Joining the ranks of other major crypto companies such as Coinbase, Ripple, and Gemini, Crypto.com is seeking approval in European Union countries in preparation for the full implementation of the Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) legislation in December.
These regulations, set by the bloc, allow authorized firms to operate in all 27 EU nations. Notably, Crypto.com has already obtained licenses and approvals in various countries around the world.
