Following Craig Wright’s unsuccessful legal attempt to prove his identity as Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the Bitcoin protocol, the Bitcoin white paper has been reuploaded to the Bitcoin.org website.

Hennadii Stepanov, the site’s maintainer, announced the return of the white paper by sharing a link to the PDF on platform X.

Restrictions had previously been placed on access to the white paper for UK-based users due to legal constraints. Instead, the website displayed a quote from Satoshi Nakamoto regarding the spread and stifling of information.

In 2021, Wright successfully sued Cobra, the anonymous group operating the website, for copyright infringement. As a result, the white paper PDF was removed and Cobra was ordered to pay £35,000 ($40,100) in legal fees. Wright had registered for US copyright of the white paper in 2019.
