Uniswap’s Trading Volume Exceeds $450B in 2023

In 2023, DEX platform Uniswap saw a remarkable increase in activity, with the total value of completed swaps reaching an impressive $454 billion.

In the month of February alone, there were a record 163 million transactions totaling $73 billion. This success was further reflected in the addition of 2.89 million new wallets and the opening of 3.33 million positions by liquidity providers over the course of the year.

Additionally, Uniswap achieved other notable accomplishments, including the launch of its liquidity aggregator, UniswapX, the development of the fourth version of its protocol, and the integration of new networks.

The platform also expanded its accessibility by releasing applications for iOS and Android and adding support for 18 fiat currencies and 7 languages since January. The Uniswap team remains committed to making DeFi widely available to individuals globally.

However, it should be noted that the exchange recently implemented a 0.15% commission for a limited set of tokens, leading some experts to raise concerns about potential centralization.
