UK Finance Minister Will Investigate Claims Licensed Crypto Companies Are Facing Problems to Open Business Accounts
The Chancellor of the Exchequer in the UK has promised to look into the issue of licensed cryptocurrency companies facing challenges when trying to open business accounts in the country.
Jeremy Hunt, along with the Economic Secretary of the Treasury Bim Afolami, plans to discuss this matter in a meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
The issue was raised by Lisa Cameron, the Chair of the Crypto and Digital Assets All-Party Parliamentary Group, during a session.
In response, Hunt stated that he will organize a meeting with the UK Treasury to investigate the issue. He also emphasized the importance of regulating the cryptocurrency market in a responsible manner in order for it to grow as intended.
Hunt also took the opportunity to highlight the UK’s position as a global crypto hub, particularly in London.
