Investments in Crypto-based Funds Hit Highest Level in 18 Months
CoinShares has reported that as of mid-November, the investment volume in crypto funds has reached $1.14 billion since the start of 2023.
Specifically, Bitcoin-focused instruments have attracted $1.08 billion in investments since January. In the past week alone, investment companies have allocated $346 million to crypto funds.
This has led to a recent high in the total assets under management of these funds, reaching a level not seen since the end of 2021.
According to CoinShares’ head of research, James Butterfill, American investors are not currently actively participating.
Currently, these funds manage digital assets worth $45.3 billion, with the majority of recent investments coming from Germany and Canada, accounting for 87% of total inflows.
These investors have contributed around $312 million to BTC funds, which have received over $1.5 billion since the beginning of the year.
