BlackRock CEO: Investors Are Increasingly Interested in Bitcoin
During the summer, BlackRock filed a submission with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF.
Its CEO, Larry Fink, has recently changed his perception of the leading digital currency. While he was previously doubtful about it, he now recognizes it as a secure investment option.
He even acknowledged the possibility of investors shifting their funds from gold to bitcoin in its favor.
In an interview with Fox Business this week, Fink reiterated that there is a significant demand for BTC among investors.
The rumors that circulated the day before about the potential launch of a spot crypto fund were a direct result of the increasing interest from both individual and institutional investors in this asset.
While the financier declined to comment on the progress of BlackRock’s ETF application with the SEC, he did mention that a tool for tracking the spot price of BTC should be available on the American market.
Fink further emphasized that the growth of bitcoin can be attributed to its gradual transition into the category of reliable assets.
