According to Denis Beau, the deputy head of the Bank of France, national digital currencies (CBDC) are seen as a strong alternative to stablecoins.

He emphasizes the importance of regulators taking their time to implement tokens into their financial systems, or else users will turn to dollar-backed digital currencies.

Beau also supports the idea of tokenizing various assets and believes that reasonable regulation is needed for it to be effective.

He sees CBDCs as a way to improve cross-border payments and states that this should be a priority for central banks in order to stimulate innovation and build trust.
