The strategy of accumulating cryptocurrencies has become the dominant trend among investors.

According to Glassnode, approximately 10.4 million Bitcoins have remained stagnant for over five years.

At the same time, cryptocurrency analyst James Straten notes that the circulating supply of Bitcoin is currently at 19.5 million.

He discovered that hodlers who bought BTC between five to seven years ago currently hold 1.8 million coins, while those who invested between seven to ten years ago control 2.8 million BTC.

Furthermore, approximately 5.7 million Bitcoins are currently held by wallets that acquired them over a decade ago.

This means that over half of the total supply of Bitcoins, at 53.3%, have not been moved for over five years.

Glassnode suggests that a large portion of these unmoved coins may be lost forever, as their owners have either passed away or lost access to their addresses.

However, there is a continual increase in the number of hodlers, indicating that more investors are holding onto their BTC in anticipation of a surge in its value.
